Clinical Aesthetics Symposium (CAS25)
Friday 16th - Saturday 17th May 2025

This event was a very full two days, and covered many areas in the field of aesthetics. We heard from passionate clinicians from around NZ and Australia, as well as further afield. The topics were wide ranging from practice techniques and off-label applications for well known medications, to body dysmorphic disorder and the cultural differences between Asian and Western clientele.
There was a notable focus on the increasing trend for regenerative treatments that are targeting skin at a cellular level, and improved tissue health and skin quality becoming a top priority.
I was lucky enough to attend this as my first ever aesthetics-focused event, and it was a pleasure to meet so many inspiring expert nurses from around New Zealand, and it highlighted the crossover between aesthetics and dermatology practice areas. I look forward to future collaboration with both CAS and the Clinical Aesthetic Network New Zealand (CANNZ), as I see potential for expanded educational opportunities for our combined members.
